GCUL2 - Standings after Week 2

Week 2 went off in it's new home without a hitch. The fields at Tallebudgera proved exceptional, as did the level of play upon this new pitch.

White Team Bob squared off against Robina Blue, and Black Saiko vs. RAM on the other.

From what I saw, White Team Bob got out in front early, using an effective zone to generate some tough throws, and associated turn overs, and an experienced and chilled out offense to punch in the goals. Early in the game WTB was up 5-1. But Robina Blue proved scrappy and resilient as they managed to hang around. But in the end, when the score sheets were handed in, WTB walked away with a 13-10 win, looking strong heading into week 3.

On the field I was on, The Black Saiko opened up against RAM pretty evenly. The teams traded points until half time, with RAM taking the half 8-7, Saiko set to receive the half time pull. The Saiko offense failed to generate much up field gain in the second half, and RAM capitalized to the tune of five unanswered goals. A time out would stop the bleeding, and Saiko would finish the game putting three in a row back... but ran out of time while RAM walked away with their second win of the season.

Here's how the table looks now.
